Do-Do head, nasty word

Logan has the camera

Logan's view from his bedroom window

no idea what she's doing here

What's under the couch...which resulted in...

THIS! Its like a burried treasure under my couch

Sprinklers

Put the roller down, Michelle

I've been painting like a mad woman. Part of its spring and I just want clean fresh walls. Then there is the fact that I'm avoiding doing paperwork. And not thinking too deeply about the possessed CD player in my car. Kids are awful. It's humid as hell (I'm assuming that hell is a humid heat, rather than a dry heat).
As of Monday morning, I never want to see another roller again.

My helpers.

A mural in Vivian's room

She wanted fairies and butterflies

An upstairs bathroom. I painted it with the rest of the paint from Logan's room

A post-bath Logan, very happy about his 'geen' room

Oh and I have a blue master bathroom now.

11:30pm

I couldn't sleep last night (again). Turned on NBC to listen to The Tonight Show because nothing puts me to sleep like Leno. I watch the last two minutes of the 11 o'clock news to hear, "Tonight's cold front is going to put us in the 30's tonight. Tomorrow night we may freeze." I climb out of bed, thrown on my robe and head out into the night to cover my tomato plants and protect them from the cold. What I do for my garden.

Take Pictures Mommy

Logan handed me the camera and demanded I take pictures of him. This is the only pose he would show me.

Town Egg Hunt

The yearly community egg hunt was rained out. So it was held at the gym in the Parks and Rec building.

Good Beer Day

The past few months I've been having some beer making struggles. Flavors are off. Then there was that bacterial infection. Also Dustin is gone, so not a whole lot of beer getting consumed. With spring's arrival, I've been wanting more light, crisp, refreshing beers. I took a gamble and ordered from High Gravity Brewing, the only woman (co)owned beer company I have encountered. (If you want to make me happy buy me this shirt.) Today I kegged a cream ale and transferred a honey wheat--both from High Gravity. I'm doing a happy dance. The cream ale is amazing and its the lightest colored beer I've made. This company has different brewing instructions. Their method seems to be working. The honey wheat...needs more time to mellow. Its too honey-ish for me, but its only a week old, so I'll not make judgements.
My other brewgirl moment of happiness what surprising a hipster at the beer supply store. Most of the beer makers I've met in North Carolina look like this.

This happens to be what the employee at the brew store looked like today. I come in with two preschoolers, and ask for exactly what I need. Then decide to buy a nice bottle of Saison, asking for it by name. The hipster asks me, "What do you brew?" Oh poor boy. He didn't expect me to start babbling excitedly about my beautiful beer that I'm so excited about today. I think we were both surprised that he had something to learn from me...a frazzled mom, with barely well behaved kids.
In two more weeks, I'll be able to show you pictures of my beautiful beer.
